Longview Dental Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are two of the most often used restorations. They allow us to repair even very advanced tooth decay or damage and replace one or a few consecutive missing teeth, respectively. At Longview Dental Center, we offer dental crowns and fixed bridges crafted from a variety of high quality materials to repair even the most damaged smiles to their full form and function. If you’re in need of dental restoration, don’t hesitate to contact us.
What Are Dental Crowns?
Dental crowns are restorations that fit completely over the top of a damaged tooth. The crown replaces lost structure, restores function, and protects the tooth from additional damage. The process is completed over two appointments. During your first visit, bite impressions are captured to allow our dental lab to create your custom restoration, and we place a temporary to protect your tooth. Once we receive the dental crown from our lab, you’ll return for a second visit. We simply exchange your temporary for the custom crafted crown, leaving you with a flawless smile.
What Are Fixed Bridges?
Fixed bridges use dental crowns to support one or more replacement teeth. Called pontics, these prosthetic teeth are fused to dental crowns. The crowns are then attached to surrounding healthy teeth recreating lost tooth structure. The process is completed in two visits just like dental crown placement.
